Shipwreck + One Season
Kertouin said his first word today!
He has known me from the beginninghe watches everybeast come and go with interest, but whenever I enter the room his face always brightens.
Today, though, was different.
I had come from the kitchen, bringing Kertouin his meal; although nearly weaned off of his mixture of honeydew and coconut milk, I still give it to him on afternoons to help him settle down for a nap.
Even before I came back to the infirmary, I heard Kertouin giggling along with Sunstar (whom I had left with him while I was out). I smiled as I made my way to the door. As I entered, three headsd turned to see meKertouin and Sunstar, obviously, and also Raia, who had graciously agreed to watch them while I ran my errand.
Hi Fopaw! Sunstar said, waving a tiny paw at me. Kertouin looked straight at me, his scar wrinkling as a smile overtook his face.
I nearly dropped my mug; Mum? He had called me Mum!

Shipwreck + Five Seasons
Kertouin got into a fight today.
It was only a little after lunch, and I was on my way to my quarters when I heard a yelp echo down the hallway. At first I couldnt pinpoint where it came from, but sounds of a scuffle quickly followed the initial cry. Following them, I came across a dozen or so leverets circled around two figures: Kertouin and Bescarum. Both showed signs of injuryBescarums nose was bleeding, and Kertouin was missing a patch of fur just beneath his left ear. As the two combatants circled and jabbed at one another, the surrounding mass of leverets cheered them onmost encouraged Bescarum, but I could made out Sunstars voice above the din, rooting for Kertouin.
Get im, Scarum!
Knock his scarred block off!
Ah, shut yer gob! Come on, Kertouin!
I knew that I had to put a stop to this madness before somebeast got seriously hurt.
WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!?! I bellowed. I
Spring FeastSpring FeastSpring Feast by Tarrenger
Fire burning bright
As I in its light
The old flute of my ancestors.
Dragons and Otters dance
Laugh, swim and play.
Come all and enjoy the feast
For at last spring has Finally sprung.
We gather at the table
Along the river bank
And pray our thanks.
We then pass around bowl
After bowl of Hotroot Soup.
Made by the Otters.
While we Dragons cooked shrimp
Made with a spicy pepper sauce.
Which the Otters enjoyed greatly
Being lovers of spicy foods.
Afterwards we sang, danced,
And played some more.
We enjoyed that cool evening
For spring has finally sprung.

Heart pounding, paws thumping
Leaves sounding out
A whistle of air, body slumping
Dead without a doubt
Teeth bared in frustration
Failed in its mission
Struck too hard
Merciful in its regard
Not dead, still alive
The woodlander survives
By his cunning
Lives to seek revenge
To the one who had given
A taste of death
Heart pounding, paws thumping
A whistle of air, body jumping
In remembrance of violent
Deeds, atrocities committed
Like lightning, blade flash
Blood arcing in a wide splash
Eyes, clouding up in memory
